About Us / Casting House

Logs (billets) of the highest quality are manufactured in our casting house. D.C. casting technology is used in the manufacturing of  7” and 8” aluminium logs in two furnaces (capacities: 10 and 14 tons). The logs are made of  99% aluminum ingots, aluminium scrap and additives in order to create alloys according to international standards. The casting process starts with melting of the aluminium and the additives in the furnaces.  During this process we take samples from the melted aluminium and analyze their ingredients with the aid of an on-site spectrometer. The chemical composition is then corrected by adding additives until the desired alloy is achieved. After reaching the desired alloy we begin pouring the liquid aluminium into the water-cooled molds. When the casting is done, the logs are  loaded into a homogenization oven which is fully equipped with  a closed loop temperature control system. The logs are then quenched by water and their edges are cut.

The main casting alloys that are manufactured in our casting house are: 6063, 6061, 6082, 6005, 1050, 6060.
